Shop Local and Give Back!

Updated: Nov 9, 2021

We are pleased to announce, that from Nov. 14th to Nov. 21st, the Ballston Spa Education Foundation will be hosting an online fundraiser to help increase the size and number of grants available to teachers. Just in time for the winter holidays, we’ve put together a collection of experiences, indulgences, and necessities designed to do the double duty of inspiring BSEF supporters with potential holiday gifts and supporting our teachers through the money raised.

Please join us and bid big for our teachers!

The Facebook Contest:

Like our Facebook page and tag a friend in the comments – it’s that simple to enter to win (2) holiday wreaths valued at $30 each. If you don’t win the contest, don’t worry! You can still purchase a wreath in the auction and help support the Ballston Spa Education Foundation. Enter as many times as you’d like by creating a separate comment and tagging a new friend. The wreaths are local pick-up only. Shipping is not included in the contest. The winner will be selected Friday, 11/12. Thank you and Good Luck!

About the BSEF:

Ballston Spa Education Foundation (BSEF) is a non-profit group supporting the mission of the Ballston Spa Central School District by raising and distributing resources for educational enrichment outside the daily operational needs of the school district. Since its inception in 1996, BSEF has granted nearly $400,000 to fund educationally enriching programs at all levels.

Our mission is to support educational enrichment for the students of Ballston Spa. Through grants to educators, we fund projects that are outside the scope of the Ballston Spa Central School District's budget. Specifically, projects that impact students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, or social development—increasing the depth and/or variety of subjects or some other form of educational benefit.

We like to think of ourselves as the “cherry on top” of what is regularly funded by the District.

We don’t fill holes in school funding; we amplify the education experiences of children.
